Enjoy an evening of 19th century magic, or conjuring as it was known then. Professor DR Schreiber brings the early world of magic to life with a captivating performance rooted in the history of illusion, science, and spectacle. Don’t miss this enchanting evening where the past truly comes alive—one illusion at a time.

Early in the 18th century, magic (or conjuring as it was referred) emerged as a genuine art form and entertainment.  Professors of natural philosophy and conjuring would rent taverns, legitimate theaters or lecture halls for the exhibition and displays of legerdemain, necromancy, or what would today be called “illusion” and “magic tricks.”  Top dollar would be paid by the citizens of Europe to see the latest discoveries in the science of “natural philosophy.”

Brews, wine, snacks, and non-alcoholic refreshments will be available for purchase. Enjoy a late summer-shaded courtyard. Come early and enjoy yard games and reserve your spot!
Doors open at 5:30pm.

Suggested donation $10, members free.
