Ambitious Goals
Clackamas County Heritage Council has been trying for 25 years to improve conditions for heritage collections, preservation, and education here at the end of the Oregon Trail. Thanks to the support of County Commissioners and Tourism officials, we now have a plan.
One solution would be a Heritage District across the county. This district would fund professional museum, publicity, and management staff as resources for all of the county heritage sites, and provide desperately needed money for frontline staff, improvement projects, and outreach. Cost to the average homeowner would be about $13.00/year, with benefits like free admission, discounted field trips and more for county citizens.
If you would like to help, please purchase a Heritage Pass, join the Council, or donate today. We can’t do it without community support.
