Baker Cabin Pioneer Day

The past comes alive at Baker Cabin site

July 22, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Trailgate picnics, pioneer activities, and music!

Come on and circle the (station) wagons and join us for family-friendly old-time fun at the Baker Cabin site in Carver, Oregon. On Saturday, July 22, you can spend the day with friends and family the old-fashioned way – picnic under the trees, watch demonstrations of rock splitting and other pioneer skills, take in an informative talk or two in the pioneer church, and enjoy live music in the afternoon.

The fun begins at 9:00 a.m. Both the log cabin and pioneer church will be open all day, with docents on-site to answer questions. Bring your own picnic to “trailgate” on the grounds, and we’ll have beverages to purchase. Picnic tables will be set up, or you can bring your own camp chairs to set up on the lawn.

Donations are requested to cover our costs. Books, cards and drinks will be available for sale.

Volunteers are welcome — your support for a few hours would be much appreciated.

Email questions and suggestions to Bakercabinhistory@gmail.com. No reservations are required.
